The exciting history of teaching and learning – from the Stone Age to the present day. The hands-on stations in the school museum invite you to learn new things and refresh what you have learned. There is a lot to discover for young and old.
Ulmer Münster (a. 40 mbc)
The highest church tower in the world. The foundation stone for the tower, which is synonymous with the city of Ulm worldwide, was laid on June 30, 1377. Would you like to combine history with a fabulous panoramic view of Ulm in Baden-Württemberg and Neu-Ulm in Bavaria? There are only 768 steps to the top viewing platform at 143 meters.
Herb garden Roggenburg Monastery (a. 15 mbc)
The monastery was founded in 1126 and is located nearby. Thanks to its educational center for family, environment and culture, the monastery inn and the monastery store, Roggenburg has once again become an important place for the entire region.
Museum Oberschönenfeld (a. 45 mbc)
Next to the Oberschönenfeld monastery complex is the Museum of Regional Everyday Culture and the Gallery of Contemporary Art, which was awarded the Bavarian Museum Prize in 2019.
Augsburg Puppet Box (a. 60 mbc)
The Augsburger Puppenkiste has existed for over 70 years, is known worldwide and is always worth a visit. Whether it’s Kasperle, Kater Mikesch, Jim Knopf and Lukas the Engine Driver or Urmel, the puppets are painstakingly hand-carved and look forward to every visitor to the theater, museum, fan store and restaurant.

An adventure for the whole family awaits you in the Cave Adventure World in Giengen/Hürben, one of the longest show caves in southern Germany at 587 m. Embark on an exciting journey of discovery through glittering stalactite worlds.

According to the motto “Fun with Roman history”, you go on a journey through time in one of the most important Roman museums in Germany and discover the history of military and civilian life on the Limes.

Take an 800 m walk underground at 11 °C in the mountain. Interesting and impressive today, once the workplace of many miners. A wonderful excursion for young and old.
